About the illustration:

Summer is right around the corner*. Today on a bit different note, I tried to capture “a vibe”. A “sensation”. That feeling that summer is close, bad weather days are mostly behind and lots of people get to enjoy the outdoors and a very much deserved time off.

Of course, even then, I did have a car as a subject, and today is a well known protagonist from the past (well, I’d like to say the Abarth 595 and this are related, you believe what you want). On top of that, I decided to go a bit nuts with the colours this time, to better capture said feeling. I truly hope you like it ✨

Since moving to the Netherlands a bit over a year ago, I found myself without owning a car after more than 15 years of doing so. This makes me have a constant feeling of “want” that I cannot justify (yet!).

One of the things I am very much looking for, is owning one and going on a roadtrip through Europe with my wife. Stop at any nice view point, take some pictures, sip some matecitos and enjoy.

That’s what the goal for this artwork is today. To transport you to that kind of situation.

*: If you’re in the northern hemisphere like I am now. Back home, we’re going into winter.
