Audi R8 (Simple Values)

About the illustration:

I think the original Audi R8 (and the first facelift, which was pretty mild) was beautiful and modern from the start. But time confirmed that it was timeless as well. I personally feel this is the best looking R8 of them all, even considering the newer iterations. They tend to be very angular and not as smooth. More Lamborghini than Audi, and I think that was not the point. Also, the painful loss of the gated manual for the V8 version is one to mourn. It just looks beautiful!

Simple values wouldn’t be a series if there was only one, am I right? That was the case until today, where the Alpine A110 was the one and only artwork in the series. Now it’s in, to my opinion, very good company.

As with many of my artworks, this one was based off an image I took (virtually) in Forza Horizon 4. I had this composition of the car running in my mind, so I tried to capture that in game, to further stylize it for this series. Let me know what you think!
