Creating Lightly

I always loved the Alpine A110 since it was announced, but my love for it grew quite a lot in the past year or so. One of the reasons is myself starting to follow Mr. David Pook on Twitter (@PookyD81). David is an automotive engineer and renowned specialist in Vehicle Dynamics, having developed and delivered cars to mainstream production for over 20 years. He now runs LIFE110, a place where you can find products that are thoroughly engineered and tested in David’s own A110 to improve an already amazing driving experience.

He shared the below image recently and instantly sparked this idea on my head, about doing a heavily stylized piece in my usual fashion, with a big limitation of values. I wanted to keep it very simple, and only use 3 values: pitch black, light grey for all highlights, and the iconic blue from the Alpine brand. I am very interested in seeing, for example, some t-shirts done with this design, that I think will be perfect.
