Today is February 8th, 2023. In 6 days it will be 4 years since Hollow Knight’s long awaited sequel, Hollow Knight: Silksong, was announced. Anyone who has been on top of the development and announcements knows that the hype is off the charts, as well as the disappointment on each video game event that the game’s release date is not announced.

Today all of that might change. In 2 hours Nintendo will host a Nintendo Direct focused on games releasing the first half of this year. We suspect Hollow Knight: Silksong is one of those and wish for a release date to be announced.

I think this is the closest we’ve been to getting a real release date, and I will go as far as to say that the release date will be within this very month. Hollow Knight has been released on a Friday, February 24th of 2017. This year, Friday, February 24th of 2023 marks the 6th anniversary of Hollow Knight’s release.

And what better way to celebrate than to bring Hornet’s adventure to all her fans.
