Ford GT

About the illustration:

This illustration is exactly 365 days apart from my first one and at the time, I couldn't be happier with the progress.

This one's of a Ford GT, my brother's favourite car, but with much more detail than the original.

When I first did it, I didn't even know how to approach rims, so my solution was not to do them. I didn't know how to do backgrounds, so I did not do one. I tried to avoid things that were difficult for me at the time with the excuse of "just abstracting the important features" to get away with that.

But the idea was not avoid them forever, but pospone them, read, watch videos, learn about how I could improve and then, tackle them with more knowledge.

I didn't let that fear keep me from improving and doing those details further down the road. And I look at my progress and I am very happy.

Quarter comparison of my first illustration ever, with the progress I made in a whole year.

Side by side comparison of my first illustration ever, with the progress I made in a whole year.
